Affidavit of Legal Interest
To pull permits or do work on behalf of another person.
 
For adding a property into the City limits.
For requesting approval to install alternative energy systems such as Wind Turbines or Solar Panels.
 
To adjust the Comprehensive Plan to allow for zoning changes. 
 
 
A Conditional Use Permit is a zoning exception which allows the property owner use of his land in a way not otherwise permitted within the particular zoning district
 
 
To combine lots, split lots, and adjust a lot line that is not part of a Subdivision
 
 
Planned Unit Developments are housing developments that are subject to standard zoning requirements with the exception of increasing the density or clustering buildings, working with the local government to develop criteria that will determine common areas, private areas, and building guidelines.
 
 
An approved Site Plan Review is required for all new construction, additions or use changes on any/all commercial and light industrial property prior to issuance of building permit.
 
 

Any property owner desiring to divide land into not more than four (4) lots may submit a short plat application provided that the required criteria are met (see application).
 
 
A preliminary plat is required when subdividing a piece of land to create more than 4 parcels. A short plat is an expedited plat application to create less than 5 lots.  To see if your project qualifies for this expedited process, please see the short plat application requirements.
 
 

Final Plat
Once preliminary plat approval has been granted and all required infrastructure, per the set conditions, is installed and/or bonded for, a final plat application is required prior to the plat being signed and recorded with Blaine County and any building permits issues.  
 
 

To request extension of final plat deadline.
 
 

Waiver of any of the requirements of this ordinance may be granted by the Council on a case-by-case basis upon the recommendation of the Commission. 

 

To change from one zoning district to another zoning district.
 
 
To display a sign within the City of Carey limits.
 
 

To vacate an existing subdivision plat or portion of a public street, alley, easement or right of way.
 
 

A modification request of the requirements in the zoning ordinance.
