The Carey Airport features a 2650 foot long by 170 foot wide grass runway with an 800 foot displaced threshold on the west end. Our runway is mowed and watered during the summer and snow plowed during the winter for year-round use.  Our airport is utilized by private pilots for recreational use as well as commercial use such as crop dusting and agricultural support. We strive to offer every opportunity to assist and support our community's needs.

We offer the following amenities:

  • Pilots lounge and restroom
  • Hangar lots available for lease (build and own your own hangar)
  • 2 wind socks (1 Lighted)

Important Pilot Information:

  • Field elevation 4783
  • CTAF 122.9
  • No pilot-controlled lighting for night operations
  • Runways are 26 and 8. Preferred landing on 26 and takeoff from 8 wind permitting due to obstacles on the west end of runway (tall trees and buildings)
